Nintendo has finally officially announced the US release date and price of it's DS 'upgrade', the DSi. April 5th will be the happy day for retailers to deal with the lines that will undoubtedly form outside of their establishments before opening.
Official launch price will be $169.99 with two color options, blue and black.

Many people have scoffed at Nintendo's new revision to the crazy popular DS. Claiming that it's upgrades aren't worth the price increase over the DS, or not worth the bajillion DS owners' money to upgrade.
