Starcraft 2: LAN-able...kinda

Blizzard really sent some upset ripples through their pool of Starcraft fans a couple months ago when they announced that SC2 would not have local LAN play in it. Well, either they just didn't explain the asterick that must have been by that comment, or all the complaints from fans changed their tune a little bit. Shacknews reports that Battle.net dev Greg Canessa now says that they will support a 'semi-LAN' connection. Basically the game will ping Battle.net for authentication either just one time, or periodically, but then use the LAN connection for the actual 'very low-ping, high bandwidth connection'. He also said that Diablo 3 will treat LAN the same way that SC2 does.

This is the method that I had suggested they should use all the time. Now where to I go to collect my idea-moneyz?
