All Left 4 Dead 2 melee weapons revealed

Valve's Chet Faliszek has finally revealed the complete set of 10 melee weapons that will ship with Left 4 Dead 2:

• Baseball Bat
• Cricket Bat
• Crowbar
• Electric Guitar
• Fire Axe
• Frying Pan
• Katana
• Machete
• Tonfa (Police Baton)
• Chainsaw

The new weapons are sure to make some people happy, as the lack of melee weapons, or more weapons in general, was the cause of a lot of the belly-aching when the original Left 4 Dead launched. I know the massive damage these new weapons can cause to a zombie up close in the game, but is it just my old L4D mindset thinking that swapping out your pistol(s) for these isn't the best idea? I can already take down a zombie I'm standing next to with a single shotgun shot, and having my pistol(s) as an alternate gives me some range. I guess maybe having one teammate with a melee weapon could clear out a mob that's on top of the group quicker? Obviously some gameplay testing is needed to determine these outcomes.
