If there's one thing that Nintendo really loves to do, that's refresh their portable system hardware. Whether it's just a simple new color offering, or an actual hardware upgrade, they've been doing it ever since the original GameBoy days, and it should be considered pretty standard practice by now. Well today Nintendo officially announced the already rumored DSi LL. It's pretty standard DSi guts inside, but with a very noticeable difference, dual 4" screens (compared to the 3.25" screens on the standard DSi).
Nintendo says their new hardware refresh is geared towards an older audience. So they've made everything bigger to accommodate these old gamers. It not only comes with bigger screens, but it's also got a full pen-sized stylus. The DSi LL will be launching in Japan on November 21st, for approximately $221. And will be hitting North America & Europe in Q1 of 2010 under the moniker DSi XL.
