Pre-orders are a go on Razer Onza 'professional' controllers

Razer has been showing off their Onza Xbox 360 controllers for a while now at various shows. But they've been hush on giving out release date or pricing information. Until now that is. They've now opened up pre-orders for the controller, and they've also unveiled that there will actually be two versions of the controller, the standard Onza, and an Onza Tournament Edition ($39.99 and $49.99 respectively). Both controllers offer an improved d-pad, two programmable shoulder buttons and "Hyperesponse" face buttons. White the T.E. adds adjustable resistance analog sticks, backlit buttons, a rubberized finish and a braided cable (both controllers are wired).

At E3 2010 the Techphules editors had the opportunity to play some rounds of Modern Warfare 2 on what is now being called the Onza Tournament Edition. We came away very impressed with the controller, and I have to say the adjustable resistance on the analog sticks had to be my favorite feature.

From the looks of the pre-order page it looks like estimated shipping dates are around the end of February for the Onza, but the T.E. is already sold out with no dates announced as of yet.

Heckler and Koch MP5 Wii Controller

Now we're talkin! Here we have a 1:1 full scale Heckler and Koch MP5 sub-machine gun for the Wii. This is no cheap "shell" for you to just put your Wiimote in either, this actually has the Wiimote, nunchuck and MotionPlus functionality built right in. Complete with USB-rechargeable battery pack, built in speaker and rumble. This was shown by a Chinese company at an unnamed trade show in Hong Kong. Unfortunately, no price was given or even whether it will hit retail shelves in North America.

Sony confirms PS3 Motion Controller for next Spring

Sony debuted their entry in the motion controller club at E3 earlier this year. While the demo looked very snazzy, they were similar with Microsoft's Natal in not giving us a date to know how far away all this next-gen hand flailing was. Well, Joystiq reports that at Sony's Tokyo Game Show keynote they finally released some press shots of the look of the supposedly finalized controller, and an expected date of it's release. Sony confirmed that a Spring 2010 release date is the current launch window, although it wasn't specified whether this was worldwide, or Japan only. The "Spring" moniker also isn't the most specific, but it's a heck of a lot more precise than the info we had before. Well done Sony, now lets hear some Natal release dates Microsoft...

Mad Catz ready for Round 2 on your wallet

Mad Catz is loving the recent flux in fighting game popularity. They're more than happy to sell you branded peripherals until you're broke. Now they've announced "Round 2" of their Street Fighter 4 FightSticks and FightPads, all of which will be launching this fall. The 'Tournament Edition' joystick will set you back a smooth $149, and the pads will be a little easier to swallow $39. Check out the Source for more pics of each of the new models.

Mad Catz $300 Rock Band Gee-Tahr

So, you love Rock Band. No, I mean you LOVE Rock Band. A simple liking or borderline crush isn't going to be enough if you're looking to wield the new Mad Catz Wireless Wooden Fender Stratocaster for Xbox 360. At $300 you could easily get a real guitar for less money, but that real guitar would be infinitely less usefull, as it wouldn't have the Xbox 360 guide button on it for some wireless Beatles action, right?

For what it's worth, this is a 1:1 replica, and apparently completely feels like the real deal. It includes a Fender guitar strap, headset socket for online play, and the option to give Mad Catz another $30 with their 'Rock Band Electro-Harmonix Overdrive Pedal'. Kids these days...
