Oh Capcom, are we really starting this again? Not that we don't want new Street Fighter content, but do you really have to play into all the old SF jokes of all the revisions that were sold and re-sold to consumers?
Anyways, Capcom has finally announced the rumored Super Street Fighter 4. The "new" game will rebalance the game's existing characters (sorry Sagat), and add eight new fighters to the already fantastic roster. As of now the only known new fighters are series regulars Dee Jay & T. Hawk. And a new female fighter named Juri.
Capcom claims that the changes are so extensive that they couldn't just be tacked on, so a disc release is necessary. So this will not be a DLC add-on to the original, instead it will be a full retail release. Before you start forum posting about how much of a rip-off this is, know that they also said the game won't be sold at normal full retail price...whatever that means...
SSF4 is slated to release in Spring 2010, for the Xbox 360 and PS3, no news on a PC version yet. Check out Gamespot for a much more in-depth look at the game.
Lastly here's the teaser trailer for the game, if you can call it that. It shows zero new characters and zero gameplay footage, but you definitely get to see the awesome new SSF4 logo!!
