Medal of Honor "Leave a Message" trailer

EA looks to be bringing back the Medal of Honor series in a big way. And with all the recent drama with the Modern Warfare series it looks like a great time to re-introduce a solid war-series. Instead of most FPS war game trailers, this one chooses to focus more on the human side of war instead of throwing as many explosions and fast-cuts as possible at your. Consider us impressed EA, keep it up.

New Battlefield: Bad Company 2 trailer

So Modern Warfare 2 isn't your thing? No problems, you're probably more of a Battlefield person. Unfortunately the next true sequel in the form of Battlefield 3 isn't coming anytime soon, but lucky for you it looks like Bad Company 2 is coming along quite nicely. Can't wait for the PC beta.

EA confirms Battlefield 3 is being worked on

John Pleasants, EA's chief operating officer said today that he's seen DICE's work on Battlefield 3.
"I've had the luxury of looking at Battlefield 3 over at DICE in Sweden and was highly impressed by the way the team is working on that product," he said. "Of course, that's not [coming out] in the fiscal year, but that is a product that is looking very good."
So anybody who was worried that the recent trend of tacking on the Battlefield name to games such as Bad Company, Battlefield: Heroes and even the console friendly Battlefield 1943, doesn't mean that the grand daddy original series isn't coming. Just think of the other games as stepping stones to the top of the mountain for BF3.

Dragon Age: Origins launch trailer

Wow, Bioware definitely enabled the blood code before making this brand new launch trailer for Dragon Age: Origins. It starts peaceful, but changes gears pretty quickly. If the game is anywhere near as sweet as this trailer, we're all in for quite the Baldur's Gate-style treat.

Dragon Age: Origins comes out for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 on November 3rd.

Peak at next-gen Road Rash

So I doubt there's many Genesis gamers that haven't heard of Road Rash. Some great memories tied to that series for a pretty good amount of people. Problem is that's all there is of the series, memories. Well, if this short video of a "pre-vis" version is anything to go by, then there might be a chance that some dev team out there is maybe, possibly kicking around some ideas on bringing the series back for some high speed, high res mobile beat downs. This video is pretty old, so that doesn't do much for our optimism, but this recent trademark filing shows that something looks to be in the works for the series.

Keep those 16-bit fingers crossed.

Battlefield 1943 PC pre-order now available

Battlefield has been a staple in PC gaming ever since the beginning of the series. Although recently it's been more focused on the console gamers than the PC fans. Battlefield 1943 really isn't a true sequel, but it was more than enough for the Xbox 360 and PS3 players to gobble up when it launched a few months ago. Now EA has finally opened up the gates for PC gamers to start pre-ordering the game with a tweet, although unfortunately they still haven't given out a release date other than "Pre-Release 2010".

It will be interesting to see if BF1943 has the same effect on the PC gamers as it did on the consolers. It's much more casual-oriented than the PC folk are used to.

Jason "Mayhem" Miller ready to beat down EA

Jason "Mayhem" Miller is one of the MMA fighters to be featured in the upcoming EA Sports MMA game. Mayhem and fellow fighter King Mo Lawal visited EA to demo the game so far, and record some sounds and visuals for gameplay.

During the game demo Mayhem isn't too happy with the apparently below average fighter skill assigned to his character, and gets in the face of Head EA MMA developer Rob Hydar about it.

Oh, and side note. A ball pit in the conference room is a new requirement for any future job I might seek. Brilliant.

Left 4 Dead 2 demo dated

Today at EA's Tokyo press conference, Valve's Kim Swift announced that the expected release date of the Left 4 Dead 2 demo is October 27th. No specific info was given out, but it can be assumed that they'll run it the same way they did with the first game, and pre-orders will get first dibs on the demo.

With this and the recently announced DLC Valve is making sure that we don't forget about it's zombie apocalypse sim before the upcoming November 17th release date of L4D2. And we salute them for that.

New Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer video

Here's a new video of the highly anticipated sequel to Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare showing some multiplayer action. Note the riot sheild - I hope this isn't as annoying as the one introduced in Counter Strike. Also note on the closing screen the "2" in Modern Warfare 2 appears in a list of 1, 2, 3 - perhaps a hint that they plan to (who doesn't like printing their own money) start development on a Modern Warfare 3? The very end of the video video also highlights the ability for a new server host to take over when the original host drops out - I'm sure that will make the consolers gleeful.

I know what I'll be playing on 11-10-09 :-)
