"Dead Before Dawn" Mod coming on Halloween

The makers of the "Dawn of the Dead" movie-based Left 4 Dead mod "Dead Before Dawn" have been teasing the fans with videos and screenshots ever since L4D launched. Well, the day is finally here; the makers are putting the final touches on the mod, and have put a promised release date of October 31st.

From their site:
In the event that we do not see our finale up to scratch for release, we will NOT postpone the release. We promised you a halloween release date, a halloween release date is what your going to get. If this does happen, maps 1 - 5 will be released and an update for the campaign containing the finale will be released shortly after.

This looks to be a the biggest mod released for L4D, it includes a fully voiced character from the movie, CJ, head of Crossroads Mall security. He will be directing you through parts of the mall and various situations. Valve has even shown their support for the game by sending the mod makers a brand new soundfile of Francis saying "I hate malls".

Many more screens of the upcoming campaign are at the L4DMods Update.

It's a R2-D2 shaped cooler, modded to include 8 game consoles, a sound system and a projector mounted in R2's head. Awesome.
