PAX = H1N1 Positive



It's been confirmed that some people that attended PAX have tested positive for swine flu. Penny Arcade has a list of flights and trains that had confirmed cases on them. If you were there or know somebody that was, please check this out or send this info their way so that the necessary precautions are taken if any symptoms arise.

That is unless you want to take part in The Swine Flu Challenge.

City of Heroes/Villians still kickin'



The recent release of Champions Online made the superhero MMO population grow to two, but the City of Heroes devs aren't going to let 'the new hotness' stop them from continuing to improve Paragon City and give more free content to their loyal fan base. Cryptic Studios showed off some of the new additions coming in Issue 16, codenamed "Power Spectrum". Some of the changes are a mission map difficulty slider and improvements to the Mission Architect system. But the biggest addition that the CoH fans are going to be all over is the ability to customize their powers. Players will be able to change the colors of most powers and even geometry and animation customization to some power sets.

Issue 16 is due for release by the end of this month.

More Diablo 3 from PAX



Quickie update today, Joystiq had some more time with the Diablo 3 Monk and shared their thoughts. Everything sounds like it's coming along great, can't wait for the release of D3 sometime between now and 2020.

Zombie Clowns and Jockey's oh my!




IGN gives us our newest Left 4 Dead 2 breadcrumbs from The Penny Arcade Expo (PAX), in with Zombie Clowns and a new boss infected. Valve is showing off parts of the new Dark Carnival campaign, the Zombie Clown will be the 'uncommon common' for the campaign. Valve also shed a little bit of light on the newest boss to cause the survivors problems in the new sequel, the "Jockey". The Jockey allows you to attack lone survivors and control their movement for a brief period of time. Not much else is known yet on how this mechanic works, but I can already think of plenty of ways to grief opponents with this...

PAX '09 Registration Begins



Tickets for the 2009 Penny Arcade Expo are now available. It will be held September 4th-6th in Seattle. If you pre-register on the site before Sept. 3rd you save $5. Daily tickets are $30 a piece or the full 3 day pass is $50.

Whether you go to chill with game devs, check out upcoming games or just chill with some fellow old school RPG board gamers, PAX will deliver.
